Symantec Delivers Endpoint Protection Plug-in for Kaseya®
Symantec, global leader in the provision of security, storage and systems management solutions, has announced the Symantec Endpoint Protection Management Plug-in 1.5 for Kaseya® software. As the first discrete third-party security plug-in product for Kaseya, the new plug-in is available immediately at no cost to Symantec registered partners.
The new Symantec plug-in for Kaseya enables MSPs to keep endpoints updated, be proactive in fixing issues and monitor their customer’s environments from a single console. Information can be monitored from an organizational level including organization name, total number of endpoints, number of infected or healthy endpoints and at-risk endpoints (those with outdated content or lack of protection). In terms of individual devices, the computer name, version, infection status, management system, time of last scan, operating system and protection status can all be retrieved. Additional new features include the monitoring of APIs to deepen integration with leading remote monitoring and management platforms (RMMs), allowing MSPs to differentiate their services. All of the above functionality results in increased profitability and efficiency for MSPs.
“Symantec is committed to delivering the right solutions to enable MSPs to grow their business by continually looking at ways to help them increase their monthly recurring revenue. Our industry-leading solutions, combined with our extensive partner program benefits, single management console, and flexible deployment options, offer managed service providers the ability to maximize opportunities that allow them to grow their business,” said John Eldh, Vice President of Americas Channel Sales at Symantec.
Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 also now offers enhanced monitoring of APIs for integration with leading RMM platforms, thereby allowing MSPs to view and monitor more detailed information such as license expiration, status, type, updates and so on. In addition, MSPs can check customers’ connectivity to the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager, system health, risk, remediation events, and report on protection that is enabled or disabled.
“The new Symantec Endpoint Protection Plug-in 1.5 for Kaseya is the first discrete third party security plug-in product, enabling solid integration that pulls data from my endpoints and servers, and allows me to install the agent installer to the VSA and deploy it out. These new capabilities allow us to increase operational efficiencies and deliver greater solutions, increase and better predict recurring revenue and ultimately helping us drive the success of our business,” said Adam Wall, Network Operations Manager at Atlantic Tomorrow’s office.
